Extra Training and Medical Indemnity

For those of you who are undertaking extra periods in general practice during your training, please note that the claim form that you will need to use to reclaim your medical defence subscriptions if you are using the new system of defence cover is now available on the Oxford Deanery website www.oxford-pgmde.co.uk/gp/registrar_year/index.html

Please note that the Deanery would expect every Specialty Trainee to have applied for the most cost effective option with their preferred medical indemnity provider. If you are undertaking less then 18 months in general practice throughout your training then it may well be most cost effective to remain with the old system of medical defence cover but please check the details from your provider. Please note that no reimbursements will be made without copy receipts attached to the claim.
